— The Zō bedframe is handmade out of solid American walnut and inspired by nature. With a strong, horizontal line it appears light and fragile, but this is juxtaposed by two large, heavy appearing feet on every corner of the bed.

Because all the visual weight is located on the outer most part of the frame it might give the illusion that it would not support your weight when you would sit in the middle of the bed, but nothing is less true: Two more hidden feet in the middle of the bedframe give the bed a sturdy and solid feel.

Not a single sharp edge is found in this design. The feet appear from the bedframe like roots from a tree, with a organic and soft touch to the hand.

Because of the pompous feet and the Japanese woodwork and craftmanship, this bed gained the name Zō, which translates to elephant in Japanese.
